AirPortr now offers advance baggage check-in and delivery services for all passengers departing from Vienna Airport.

The press release has reported that passengers can choose a specific location and time for both drop-off and pick-up of their baggage. The service will be free for the first 200 bookings as a trial for flights departing from Vienna before May 3, and will be permanently added to the service portfolio next month. The cost of booking the service is €26 and varies based on the number of bags and the location.

Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport, highlighted the collaboration with Austrian Airlines and AirPortr as an innovative service that will improve travel comfort and make the departure process at Vienna Airport more seamless.

Jäger emphasized that passengers can depart for their vacations more easily by having their luggage picked up from home, eliminating the need to wait at check-in counters. He also noted that Vienna Airport is improving its service quality in preparation for the peak summer season. Michael Trestl, the CCO of Austrian Airlines, considers these changes to be crucial in ensuring a pleasant travel experience for visitors.

Trestl stated that the new baggage service provides an exclusive added value to travelers, ensuring that passengers with Austrian Airlines feel comfortable throughout their entire journey.

AirPortr is now available for flights departing from major airports in Europe including Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Austria.
