This week, Aegean Airlines and Cyprus Airways have announced an exciting new collaboration through a codesharing arrangement. This partnership aims to facilitate the expansion of their respective international networks and provide enhanced travel options for passengers.

Starting from  2023 June 20, Aegean Airlines will designate its A3 code for flights operated by Cyprus Airways to various destinations, including Paris, Rome, Milan, Beirut, Cairo, Yerevan, and all Greek destinations.

Conversely, Cyprus Airways will utilize the code CY to cover Aegean’s network within Greece, as well as flights to Madrid and Barcelona.

Paul Sies, the CEO of Cyprus Airways, expressed his thoughts on the codeshare arrangement, stating that the signing of this agreement marks another significant milestone for the rejuvenated Cyprus Airways.

“We are pleased today to announce our codeshare agreement with our neighboring flag carrier, AEGEAN, a Star Alliance member, and with whom we share a strong market reputation and commitment to customers.

This is an important day for us as we are setting the foundation to further enhance cooperation with like-minded airline partners and continue with our journey to expand our network to offer the Cypriot community new travel opportunities to Europe and beyond whilst making it easier for travelers from all over the world to visit Cyprus.”
