Ryanair is expanding its presence in Belfast by launching four new routes for the spring and summer seasons. These routes will connect Belfast with Hungary, Wales, and Spain, and may potentially be expanded further.
The new routes are part of Ryanair’s €200 million ($213.33mn) investment in expanding its offerings from Northern Ireland and will result in the creation of approximately 800 direct and indirect jobs. The new flights will operate from Belfast International Airport and will be serviced by an additional two aircraft.
Belfast-Budapest
One of the new routes, a direct flight between Northern Ireland and Hungary, will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays and will begin on March 27th, with fares starting at £36.99 ($44.58).

Belfast-Cardiff
The new route from Belfast to Cardiff will operate on a twice-weekly schedule on Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting on March 29th. To celebrate the launch of this route, Ryanair’s Director of Digital & Marketing, Dara Brady, stated that the airline is excited to offer more choice and value to Welsh customers as they plan their summer vacations for the upcoming Easter and summer seasons.
Airfare prices for this route start from as low as £29.99 ($36.15), and the flight schedules for the Belfast-Cardiff route are as follows:
