China Airlines Expands its Market in Eastern Europe

China Airlines is optimistic about the recovery of post-pandemic travel and is actively looking to expand its market in eastern Europe, which has seen significant growth in recent years. The airline has recognized the potential of this market and intends to compete in the transfer market by offering flights to Prague twice a week, in addition to its current four weekly flights to Vienna. This will provide travelers with greater flexibility when planning their Austrian and Czech itineraries.

After 40 years of development, China Airlines has established a comprehensive network in Europe with existing destinations that include Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Rome, and Vienna. Prague will be the sixth and newest addition to this list of destinations. With almost 30 weekly flights to Europe, China Airlines has the busiest schedule and offers the most direct flights to Europe in Taiwan.

The airline believes that the growing demand for both business and travel throughout the Asia-Pacific region, coupled with the steady increase in the number of people traveling to Europe, makes it an opportune time to expand its market in eastern Europe. (As of March 14, 2023)
