AEGEAN, a Greek airline, and TUI France have revealed the establishment of direct flights from Lille Airport to Greece as part of a three-year exclusive agreement.

Recently, TUI France held a special event at Lille Airport to announce their new exclusive direct flights to Greece and other destinations, including Spain, Tunisia, Morocco, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Montenegro, on AEGEAN. To accommodate the increased demand, TUI France will establish a regional base at Lille Airport in the near future. The ceremony also showcased TUI France’s expanded summer and winter travel packages for these destinations.

“AEGEAN combines excellent service quality, reliability and a genuine customer-centric culture which is really what we want to offer our passengers. That is why the choice of Aegean as our exclusive partner at Lille Airport was self-evident. Greece is our most important and strong market; therefore we could only cooperate with the largest Greek airline,” stated TUI France CEO Dirk van Holsbeke.

Pierre-Emmanuel Duband, International Sales Manager for AEGEAN Airlines, expressed the airline’s delight in continuing its partnership with TUI France for another three years and resuming operations at Lille Airport.

“We are very pleased to extend our partnership with TUI France for three more years, but also to return to Lille Airport. TUI France and AEGEAN share the same values and the same commitment to high-quality service, which is why we have been working together effectively for more than 20 years, winning the recognition of our travelers,” said Duband, International Sales Manager of Aegean Airlines.

AEGEAN places a strong emphasis on expanding its presence in France, as the country is a significant source market for Greece. In 2022, the airline operated direct flights to Athens, Corfu, Heraklion, Kalamata, Mykonos, Rhodes, and Thessaloniki from major cities in France, carrying over 700,000 passengers. The airline also increased its seating capacity by about 10% compared to 2019.

In summer 2023, AEGEAN intends to provide approximately 1 million seats to meet high demand.
