Air Serbia Expands Summer 2025 Network with New Routes to Ibiza, Mykonos, and Olbia

Air Serbia is set to launch new routes from Belgrade to Ibiza in Spain, Mykonos in Greece, and Olbia on the Italian island of Sardinia for the 2025 summer season. According to Boško Rupić, Air Serbia’s General Manager for Commercial and Strategy, ticket sales for these routes will begin this month. Each of the new destinations will have two weekly flights, supporting the airline’s ongoing focus on expanding leisure routes, which have performed well over recent years. Since the pandemic, Air Serbia has introduced destinations like Palma de Mallorca, Heraklion, Corfu, Chania, and Palermo.

Ibiza will be the airline’s sixth destination in Spain, joining Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, and Palma de Mallorca. Mykonos will become the seventh destination in Greece, alongside Athens, Thessaloniki, Corfu, Chania, and Heraklion, while Olbia will mark the ninth in Italy. Currently, Air Serbia also operates flights to Rome, Milan, Venice, Bologna, Naples, Bari, Palermo, and Catania.

After these new routes are launched next summer, Antalya will remain Belgrade Airport’s top unserved leisure destination based on indirect traffic, though it is accessible via Air Serbia’s charter services, which served 116,287 passengers last year. Following Antalya, Florence and Marseille are also notable unserved destinations, with Florence and Bodrum previously served through charter operations.

Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek noted that leisure destinations have played a pivotal role in the airline’s network growth post-pandemic. “We seized this demand by expanding the company by over 50% in the last two years, adding 43 destinations, mostly targeting the leisure market. For example, in Spain, before Covid, we had two weekly flights each to Madrid and Barcelona, and now we operate seven flights to Barcelona and four to Madrid weekly, with added routes to Valencia, Malaga, and Palma. Air Serbia has shown agility in responding to market demands.”
