Starting February 8, the ULCC’s UK division launched flights from London Luton Airport, operating three times a week. It will directly rival easyJet until the end of March, with flights only on Saturdays and Sundays from February 24 onwards.

The route between Salzburg and London Luton is a new addition to Wizz Air’s network, which hasn’t been served before. However, the same cannot be said for two upcoming routes.

Starting on April 1, 2024, Skopje will reconnect with Salzburg (three times a week), followed by Bucharest the next day (twice a week). Both routes were previously operated in 2020/2021. Additionally, Wizz Air used to fly to Salzburg from Belgrade, Kyiv, Larnaca, St Petersburg, Tulza, and Varna.

Austrian Salzburg is famous because Mozart was born there and the movie Sound of Music was filmed there. It also has a special place recognized by UNESCO, with mountains nearby, and it’s a good starting point for skiing trips. Even though it’s not the biggest city in the country, it’s now connected to Wizz Air’s flights.
