EasyJet has added to its list of new routes for the summer travel season of 2023 with the announcement of a three-times-a-week service between Lisbon and Athens, set to commence on June 1st.
The airline also announced a daily flight between Porto and Paris – Orly, starting from March 26th. According to a press release from easyJet, these new routes bring the total number of new routes for the summer of 2023 to 27.
Furthermore, the airline has also increased its capacity between Porto and Funchal in Madeira, offering a 40% growth with 22,300 available seats, compared to the summer of 2022.
“easyJet shows once again that it is close to its passengers and that they are the priority. The summer news is the result of our enormous desire to provide an attractive and surprising offer, as is the case with our first direct connection to Athens, from Lisbon airport. We are ahead of the market and this is only possible because of the trust that our passengers place in us and that encourages us to always do more and better”, said José Lopes, country manager of easyJet in Portugal.
easyJet has emphasized its 58% increase in capacity in Lisbon, 21% in Porto, and 32% in Funchal for the summer of 2023, as compared to the previous year. The airline will offer a weekly frequency of 17 flights between the two destinations during the summer of 2023. This increase in capacity and frequency of flights is a highlight for easyJet.
