The City of Dreams Mediterranean is a big resort with 500 rooms and it’s situated on the edges of Limassol. It has lots of cool stuff like a casino, sports facilities, a park for families to have fun, an outdoor theater, eight places to eat and drink, a conference center, and the biggest pool area on the island.

The casino is really big, covering 81,000 square feet. Inside, there are 100 tables and 1,000 slot machines for people to play. Building it cost a huge amount of money—600 million euros (which is about $659 million). This construction project was one of the largest ever done on the island.

Lawrence Ho, the CEO of Melco Resorts and Entertainment based in Hong Kong, said that the resort will help Cyprus reach new markets in the region and beyond.

Officials from the island mentioned to the Associated Press that the resort will bring 6,500 new jobs and draw around 300,000 more visitors to the luxurious vacation spot every year. This will add hundreds of millions of Euros to the local economy annually.
