Asturias airport to receive more international flights from European destinations

Asturias Airport (OVD) in northern Spain, located near Aviles, Gijon, and Oviedo, will have connections to a record-breaking eight international destinations with the introduction of new Ryanair flights. Asturias Airport will offer flights to the following destinations: Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Dublin, London, Lisbon, Milan, Rome, Paris and Munich.

Spanish airline Vueling currently offers regular flights between Asturias and London Gatwick, Paris, and Amsterdam. In addition, Ryanair, Europe’s largest low-cost airline, began offering five new routes to Asturias last month: London Stansted, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Rome-Fiumicino, and Brussels South-Charleroi.

Asturias Airport will begin offering flights to Frankfurt, Lisbon, Milan, and Munich in March and April of next year.

According to Aena, the various airlines have planned over 865,000 flights to and from Asturias Airport for the autumn/winter season, which runs until March 25. This represents a 38% increase compared to the 2019-2020 period.
