ITA flights to Washington and San Francisco

ITA has planned to expand its services to two additional American cities during the summer. Starting from June 2nd, the airline will offer five flights per week between Rome and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), which will be increased to daily flights in August.

Additionally, ITA will commence operations from Rome to San Francisco by launching three weekly flights from July 1st and increasing to five flights per week in August. The Rome to Washington route will be serviced by the A330 aircraft, whereas the A350 will operate on the San Francisco route.

In conjunction with the recent announcement, ITA has initiated a new advertising campaign in New York City and Miami, promoting its flights to both destinations.

“Through a creative twist, the communication flow establishes a direct link between the Italian flagship carrier and Italy, enhancing the beauty of Italian destinations and the feelings they inspire. The campaign will be on billboards and will also have a strong web presence.”

New Airbus Neos

ITA Airways has been expanding its fleet since it began operations in October 2021. The Italian airline has added three new aircraft types manufactured by Airbus: the A220, A350-900, and A320neo. The A320neo, featuring the blue livery, completed its first passenger flight last week, marking a significant milestone for the airline.

By switching to the A320neo, ITA Airways has been able to achieve a 20% reduction in fuel consumption compared to previous-generation aircraft. The new planes come equipped with modern cabins and improved seating, providing a more comfortable experience for passengers.

ITA Airways plans to add 39 new aircraft to its fleet by the end of the year. The Airbus A330neo will be the fourth new aircraft type to be added, and the airline has been sharing updates on its progress through its social media channels.

Recently, ITA Airways posted photos showcasing the early stages of the paint job on its new widebody aircraft, demonstrating the airline’s commitment to expanding and enhancing its services to provide a better travel experience for its passengers.
