Burgas Airport, under the management of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, is gearing up to kick off the active flight season with a celebratory milestone. On March 31st, the airport will mark Bulgaria’s accession to the Schengen area by air, welcoming the first flight since this significant development.

The inaugural flight will originate from Poland, operated by the low-cost carrier Ryanair. This year, Ryanair plans to offer 10 routes from Burgas Airport. The summer flight schedule will commence with flights from Krakow (Poland) and London Luton (United Kingdom) on March 31st. Flights from Vienna (Austria) will follow in April, while flights from Kaunas (Lithuania) and Warsaw Modlin (Poland) are scheduled to begin in May. Furthermore, routes from Dublin (Ireland), Budapest (Hungary), Bratislava (Slovakia), Poznan, and Gdansk (Poland) are slated to start in June.

  • Wizz Air: Introducing flights to Burgas Airport from 9 destinations across 5 countries, including Vienna (Austria), Budapest and Debrecen (Hungary), Gdansk, Katowice, Lublin, and Warsaw (Poland), Tel Aviv (Israel), and year-round flights from London Luton (UK).
  • Discover Airlines: Commencing regular flights from Frankfurt to Burgas twice a week starting April 28, 2024, facilitating connections to numerous global destinations within the Lufthansa group.
  • easyJet: Renewing its summer flight schedule to Burgas on May 12, 2024 from Manchester (UK), followed by the resumption of flights from London Gatwick (UK) and Berlin (Germany) in the last week of June.
  • Bulgaria Air: Resuming regular Sofia-Burgas flights on June 2, increasing to five times a week after June 17, providing enhanced connectivity within Bulgaria.
