The German leisure carrier, Eurowings, has revealed plans for its largest-ever Spain flight program in 2024, with over 600 weekly flights. This represents a seating capacity increase of more than a third compared to 2019, reflecting the ongoing surge in demand. Eurowings will service nearly 100 routes to 14 Spanish destinations from 26 European airports.
In addition to its flights from German airports to Spain, Eurowings also operates flights to these popular summer destinations from Prague and Stockholm.
Eurowings has noted particularly strong demand for destinations on the Spanish coastal mainland, such as Barcelona and Malaga, in addition to the perennial favorite Balearic island, Mallorca.
Eurowings increased flights to Malaga, Bilbao, Mallorca and other Spanish cities
The 14 destinations serviced by Eurowings include Alicante, Bilbao, Barcelona, Jerez de la Frontera, Malaga, and Valencia on the Spanish mainland; Ibiza, Mallorca, and Menorca in the Balearic Islands; and Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, and Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
Flights from Berlin connect to eight different destinations in Spain, while Dusseldorf, Hamburg, and Stuttgart offer flights to 14, 13, and 12 Spanish destinations, respectively.
Palma de Mallorca stands out as the most popular destination, with 22 weekly flights from Berlin, 64 flights from Dusseldorf, 42 flights from Hamburg and Stuttgart, and 48 flights from Cologne.
