Emirates and United have entered into a codeshare partnership to improve connectivity to the United States.

The codeshare partnership between Emirates and United Airlines is now in effect, offering Emirates customers greater access to a wider range of United States destinations. Effective immediately, Emirates customers can fly to three major business centers in the U.S. – Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco – and conveniently connect to an extensive network of domestic points across the country on United-operated flights.

Emirates customers will now have an extended reach to over 150 cities in the United States via Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco, along with the added advantage of codeshare benefits for United flights.

This collaboration provides an expanded domestic network in the U.S. to complement Emirates’ existing network of 12 destinations served from its hub in Dubai.

The customer experience will be improved through the issuance of a single ticket, Emirates baggage allowance, and seamless baggage transfers to the final destination.

Furthermore, under an interline agreement, customers will also be able to access several more destinations in Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean islands, and Central and South America.

Frequent flyer members of Skywards and MileagePlus® can expect to enjoy rewarding benefits.

Starting from March 30, 2023, tickets for the codeshare partnership can be purchased on emirates.com, as well as through travel agencies and other trade channels. Flight tickets can also be found and compared using services that aggregate airfares and compare prices.

Emirates customers traveling to the U.S. can now enjoy access to over 150 U.S. cities through the United network, via the three designated gateways.

Likewise, Emirates customers located in the U.S. who are planning to travel to Dubai and other destinations now have a plethora of options available to them. They can easily connect to Emirates-operated flights heading to Dubai via Chicago, Houston, or San Francisco using United’s services. This partnership significantly expands the world for U.S. travelers who are looking to explore Emirates’ extensive network beyond Dubai, including a wide range of unique destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.

Passengers traveling on these flights will have access to Emirates’ acclaimed services and a range of convenient travel perks made possible by this partnership. Travelers who have booked flights on Emirates’ codeshare flights can plan their entire journey using a single ticket and take advantage of the airline’s generous baggage allowance, as well as convenient baggage check-through to their final destination.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the launch of this groundbreaking partnership with United, which will dramatically increase Emirates’ presence in the U.S. Mr. Kazim believes that United’s extensive network throughout the Americas will enable Emirates to offer a more diverse array of options to its global customer base, catering to various segments such as leisure travelers, visiting friends and relatives, corporate travelers, and students. By seamlessly connecting to and from a broader network of over 150 domestic points, Emirates is confident that this partnership will be highly sought-after.

Emirates’ Skywards members can now earn and redeem miles on all flights offered by United across their global network, in addition to the benefits of the codeshare partnership.

This collaboration opens up a range of highly sought-after destinations that can be accessed via Emirates gateways such as Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Minneapolis, and Phoenix. Emirates customers who are traveling to destinations like Detroit can fly directly from Dubai to either Chicago or Houston and then effortlessly connect to a United flight for their final destination, while enjoying the streamlined benefits of this partnership. Similarly, passengers who are departing from the U.S. and using Emirates services to fly to Dubai can easily access a wide network of domestic cities and connect through one of the three designated hubs.

Emirates and United have entered into an interline agreement, enabling travelers to effortlessly access an expanded variety of destinations across the Americas beyond the U.S. Emirates’ passengers can now choose from dozens of additional destinations located in Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, while enjoying the convenience of a single-ticket itinerary and seamless connections through the three designated hubs (Chicago, Houston, and San Francisco).

Currently, Emirates operates flights between Dubai and 12 cities in the U.S., as well as five destinations in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.
