TAP Air Portugal is set to expand its flights to the Americas in summer 2023, offering a total of 17 additional flights during the peak season.
This increase will restore flight levels to pre-pandemic levels and provide more flexibility for customers booking summer vacations. In response to customer demand, TAP will add 10 additional flights per week to the US, with increased service to Boston, Miami, Washington, Chicago, and San Francisco.
TAP will also increase flights from Lisbon to Brazil, with six new weekly services to São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Brasília, and Belém. Additionally, TAP will increase the frequency of flights between Lisbon and Caracas from two to three flights per week, improving connectivity to Venezuela.
For summer 2023, TAP will offer an additional three flights per week between Boston and Lisbon, bringing the total to 14 flights per week. The number of flights between Chicago and Lisbon will also increase, from four to five flights per week. TAP will offer 10 flights per week between Miami and Lisbon, an increase of three flights per week compared to the summer of 2022.
TAP is significantly increasing its flights to the United States
The number of flights between San Francisco and Lisbon will increase from four to five flights per week, and there will be an additional two flights per week between Washington and Lisbon, bringing the total to 10 flights per week. In total, TAP will offer 10 more flights per week between Portugal and the United States during the summer of 2023 compared to the previous year.
The expansion of transatlantic flights from Lisbon is a key part of TAP’s plans, with further expansion of its Porto hub planned for the future.
